Reservoir Runner

  • 435 W 22nd St New York, New York (map)

A Staged Reading. Written by Victoria Wolfe, Directed by Jess Barbagallo .

At first glance, the Dept of Rules and Regulations is an ordinary environment of movable cubes, plastic plants and friendly workers. Buried within the Big Tower lies a bitter secret: an energy that impacts the inner world of those who spend enough time there. Real Life becomes a dream that happens around the edges.

RESERVOIR RUNNER is a Kafkaesque comedy of creepy, goofy, and loving narratives mixed with song and dance, original video and sound recordings, and reminiscences of a city that existed before Giuliani's mayoral reign cleared out the grit and beauty. How does post-industrial New York City impact the financial and social welfare of its citizens? How did late-20th century architects get so much power and status? Do buildings have feelings and possibly...secrets?

RESERVOIR RUNNER is having its first staged reading on November 17 &18 @ 7 PM, at the lovely salon space in Chelsea, TORN PAGE. Please RSVP with a donation, ( only one reservation per donation, multiple reservations need to be done with seperate donations).
